Dweller 1.13.3

Dweller is back again after a disastrous release right before Christmas. I've learnt a lesson and I will try to avoid rushing a release again.

The game is available from all the usual sources: Android MarketJ2ME and J2SE. Enjoy!

  1. Do I have to restart the game - I can't reach a set of stairs down because there is a pushable stone blocking the way (I started with 1.13.2 and have loaded 1.13.3 but the stone is still in the way)

  2. Brendan: 1.13.2 contained some debug code that made pushable stone blocks appear almost everywhere in the dungeon. In 1.13.3 the probability for areas with pushable stone blocks have been greatly reduced. If you start a new game things should be back to normal. There is still some problems with pushable blocks and stairs though as the stairs might end up in the wrong place. I'm working on that right now.

  4. @Anonymous: I tried the J2ME version and I had no trouble disarming traps. Have you changed any keybindings? Do you get a prompt to disarm traps when you select one in targeting mode?

  6. The problem is maybe because you are a fighter. Nor can I disable or do anything else with traps exept "looking...", but I could disable them with a rogue. Anyway, the pushable stones seem to work well, thanks! But there is still a small bug, if I move towards a torch and black it out, it writes in the log "PLAYER-EXTINGUISHEDBRAZIER". Here is a printscreen about this: http://i41.tinypic.com/29m9668.jpg

  7. I'll investigate the trap closing problem in the J2ME version. The buggy PLAYER_EXTINGUISHEDBRAZIER message has been fixed in 1.14.0. Thanks for reporting it!

  8. @Anonymous: You are most probably correct. I don't think you can close trap doors. This might block further exploration of a level. I'll consider adding disarming of trap doors.
