Dweller 1.16.7

This is yet another bug fix and balancing release. I was hoping to be able to have some time to add new features and improve spell casting, but that will have to wait until the next release. Things that have been fixed in this release are:


#83 Fix J2ME preverification
#79 Tweak orc disarm chance
#73 Nerf troll healing
#37 Improve level text in highscore list
#84 Add an option to disable pathfinding by tapping
#92 Problem with pushable stone blocks and tap-to-move
#90 Update cursor text when target dies
#86 Prevent certain monsters from being charmed
#81 Add a batch/shell file to the Dweller for Desktops release
#88 Missing translation when buying a service from an NPC
#87 Never switch dungeon branch when falling through a trap door
#91 Double "you are standing on" messages

    You've fixed a lot of the issues I'd been having. Time to start playing the game again.

    Oh, something you might be interested in, a new game came out on steam today. Realm of the Mad God.

    It's an MMO bullet hell roguelike, and it's free to play. Looks like it's using sprites from the same set that Legends of Yore uses.

  3. Realm of the Mad God is a really cool game. I'm thrilled that the devs managed to get it onto Steam.

  4. 1. the jad file on the j2me dweller download page seems to still have a unknown mime type (or at least that is what my phone complains about).

    2. how is the book of flames different from the charred book of fire? Sometimes it seems it hits other enemies in line of sight from the original target, but i have seen no consistency behind said behavior.

    3. trapped chests seems to hurt even if i interact with them using the disarm action.

    4. if i interact with a chest the item spawns under the characters feet, not on top of the chest.

  5. 1.I have updated the mimetypes. The Jad file should be accepted now.

    What phone are you using. I need J2ME players to test the latest JME version (http://peeksandpokes.blogspot.com/2012/02/calling-all-j2me-players-i-need-your.html)

    2.The book of flames has a "leaping flames attack" that does a kind of chaining of fire damage to adjacent targets. It's a bit random. I will make a big review of all spells and add quite a few new ones: http://forum.dwellergame.com/index.php?topic=33.0
